History Talks: About the Lost Villages with Jim Brownell

Join us for a captivating evening as Jim Brownell, historian, former MPP, and President of the Lost Villages Historical Society, brings to life the powerful story of the Lost Villages of Eastern Ontario.
In 1958, ten communities along the St. Lawrence River were permanently flooded to make way for the St. Lawrence Seaway and Hydro Project—displacing families, businesses, and a way of life. Through photographs, personal stories, and historical insight, Jim will guide us through this remarkable chapter of our regional history.

Whether you’re a history enthusiast or simply curious about this dramatic transformation of Ontario’s landscape, this is an event you won’t want to miss.
