Blacksmithing Sampler: Fire Poker

Ever wondered what it’s like to shape red-hot steel with your own hands? Blacksmithing is the age-old craft of heating metal in a forge and using hammers, anvils, and other tools to form it into functional or decorative items. Whether you're a curious beginner or a seasoned tradesperson, our Forging Sampler is the perfect way to step into the fire and experience the art of the blacksmith. These introductory sampler classes are designed to give students a hands-on feel for the forging process. You'll focus on fundamental techniques, especially hammer control, to help you move and shape the steel with precision. Each class centers around a specific project that you’ll create and take home at the end of the session. Our experienced instructors combine lecture, live demonstrations, and guided hands-on work at the forge to support your learning and ensure a safe, engaging experience.
