The Matthews Opera House & Arts Center is teaming up with Missoula Children’s Theatre for an epic production of Hercules! Among the roles to be cast are the mighty Hercules, the philosophers Androcles, Socrates, Aristotle, Zeus, Hera, and Helen of Troy, the announcers Homer and Archimedes, Pegasus, Lion, the hilarious cyclops, the savvy Influencers, the competitive Olympians, and the mighty Titans. Assistant Directors will also be cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week and to take on essential backstage responsibilities.
Auditions: Monday, July 7th, 3-5pm
Those auditioning should arrive at 3pm and plan to stay for the full two hours. Approximately 50-60 roles are available for local students. All students, grades kindergarten (entering 1st grade in the summer) through 12th grade, are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary. Just bring your creativity and enthusiasm.
Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition.
Rehearsals: July 7 - 11th
Most students will rehearse approximately 4 hours and 15 minutes each day, Monday through Friday. A full rehearsal schedule will be provided at auditions.
Performance: July 12th 3:00PM & 5:30PM
