About your host: Hello, I'm Mel, a clinical psychologist, founder of Zenso House + Breathwork facilitator. If you are new to breathwork then you are in excellent hands with me. Come + see what all the fuss is about.
Why breathwork?
Breathwork teaches the body how to stay calm in the presence of increasing co2. Why does this work? CO2 sensitivity can cause panic reactions. With breathwork we can train our body to tolerate higher rises of CO2, without ever trying, naturally supporting anxiety regulation (like magic!)
How else does it help?
Soothes the nervous system (i.e., we use the breath to TELL the body that we are safe). This is how we train ourselve to use our breath as a remote control of sorts (ie., ok body, slow down or hurry up).
