An evening of swinging mainstream Jazz and Latin tunes.
An ensemble of well known like minded musicians led by Alex Field on guitar and Ted Beament on piano.
Ted Beament is a national treasure. Ted backed Humphrey Littleton for many years and soon became everyone's go to pianist. Ted always delivers a sparkling & memorable performance. Latterly he produced two highly acclaimed solo albums that I can personally recommend. Known to us as the 'King Of The Swingers', it is so good to have him back at the club.
Alex Field (guitar) has played five times at Ronnies Scott's with Catherine Lima, as well as other prestigious London venues. He has also toured Europe with various jazz combos over many decades. Alex also makes portable guitars out of recycled materials.
Shanti Jayasinha (trumpet) a highly regarded virtuoso multi instrumentalist and composer, well known in the UK and internationally. A superb musician.
Mark Rich (bass) is a regular performer on the Southend and Essex jazz scene, as well as backing acts across a variety of other venues. Mark has recently played at the Southend Jazz Festival, Priory Park, the Palace Theatre, and other venues.
Jason Campbell (drums) has a love of jazz spanning many decades, having played in the UK, Europe, and New York. A very musical, listening, musician.
A delicious menu is available before the show, with 2 courses for just £12!
Tables seat up to 6 people. Smaller parties should expect to share a table.
