Moving Voices is Southampton’s longest-running open mic, held in the unique setting of a converted train station waiting room. It’s a brave space and a safer space - welcoming, intimate, and fiercely inclusive. Whether you're taking the mic for the first time or experimenting with something new, you'll find a small but mighty audience ready to cheer you on.
We centre LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent and marginalised voices, celebrate diversity, and create room for stories that don’t always get heard, even the messy and raw ones. Come as you are, share what you’ve got - poems, songs, stories, or something in between.
Sign up from 7pm. This month we will have some 10 minutes slots, as well as our usual 5 minute slots and a quick-fire round at the end.
Booking is highly advised as the venue is small and the event is popular!
