Join us for a day where you will learn how to use AI to solve practical problems and work in a group to apply your new skills to tackle actual issues facing your local area.
Whether you're interested in reducing carbon emissions, enhancing community wellbeing or improving access to services for vulnerable groups, this event offers a chance to experiment with ideas, learn collaboratively and build practical confidence with responsible AI. No prior knowledge, experience or skill is required.
This event is run by AI@Southampton as part of the AI+Us Alliance, supported by Responsible Ai UK (RAi UK). The AI+Us Alliance is a nationwide initiative designed to equip academies, schools, educators and policy makers with essential AI literacy and skills-based resources. Through regional events, RAi UK will showcase interactive materials that foster critical thinking, algorithmic and data literacy, and sociotechnical awareness. This is a movement that helps students and communities understand the real-world implications of AI—and helps shape a more responsible future.
This event requires you to bring with you a laptop, tablet or smart phone to access AI platforms on the web, if you do not have access to this please let us know and we will try to assist. Wifi is available.
