Combining elements of Latina and Indigenous culture, family drama, mystery, horror, magical realism, and a Mexicali retelling of the Demeter and Persephone myth in a spellbinding mix, SALT BONES lays bare the realities of environmental catastrophe, family secrets, and the unrelenting bond between mothers and daughters. Thanks for considering this blistering, poetic domestic thriller destined for the bookshelves of fans of Silvia Moreno-Garcia’s Mexican Gothic and Ramona Emerson’s Shutter.
