Join us for a rare Tri-State Spring Meeting of the IA, NE and SD Ornithologists’ Unions featuring keynote speaker Michael Forsberg!!

You do not need to be a member to attend, and all from the merely Bird-Curious to hardcore Big Year listers of all ages are welcome!!

The Ornithologists' Unions of Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota invite ornithological researchers from academia, government, and non-government organizations to submit Abstracts for the Tri-State Spring Meeting in South Sioux City, NE on May 16-18.

A Scientific Poster Session on Friday May 16 during the light dinner and social, will allow researchers and attendees an opportunity to discuss their research. Abstracts will be published in the Nebraska Bird Review and student presenters will have their meeting registration fees waived. More information at the registration link above.

**Tentative/Partial Agenda**

Friday Night: Social and Scientific Poster Display Interaction with refreshments/light dinner

Saturday/Sunday AM: Various field trips to many local birding hotspots in all three states including Ponca State Park (NE), Broken Kettle Grasslands (IA) and Lewis and Clark Lake (SD, NE) led by expert State/Local birders. Build those life, state and county lists with spring migrants and possible rarities in a variety of very different habitats.

Sat Aft: Continuing Field Trips/open birding (field) and Birding Workshops (topics and schedule TBA)

Sat Evening: Social and Dinner, Evening program (TBA)

FEATURING Keynote Speaker: Michael Forsberg-Great Plains conservation photographer and author of 2024’s “INTO WHOOPERLAND: A photographer's journey with whooping cranes”
