We are inviting our local community to join us in a festive appeal that reflects the true spirit of this season 🫂 As we prepare for Christmas at the Want Not CIC Community Shop, we are gathering gently-used Christmas decorations, toys, books and small festive items that can be lovingly re-homed with families who need a little extra support this year.
The past year has seen our community shop grow, and with the launch of our Paint & Purpose programme 🎨 and the extension of our space, we are in a stronger position than ever to help families create a warm and joyful Christmas. This appeal allows us all to play our part, just as generations before us came together to look after one another at this time of year.
If you have festive decorations 🎄 or toys 🧸 in good condition that you no longer need, we would be grateful if you would gift them to the shop. These items will be made available at low cost to support families across South Tyneside in preparing for Christmas without added strain.
You are welcome to drop items off at the Want Not CIC Community Shop between 09:30 and 14:30, Monday to Friday, or speak to us through our page if you need to arrange collection through our regular van routes.
