Volunteer For Smiles For All 2025

After a brief pause in 2024, we’re excited to announce the return of Smiles For All on Sunday, September 21st, 2025!

Thanks to our incredible patients, volunteers and generous donors, we provided vital free dental care to 110 patients in 2023. This year, we’re eager to make an even greater impact — and we’d love for you to be part of it!

On Sunday, September 21, 2025, South San Francisco Dental Care will host its 8th annual, Smiles for All, a day of free dental care. Following a screening examination, patients over 18 years of age may receive a cleaning or extraction at no cost. Dental screenings, fluoride varnish and hygiene education will be available for minors under 18 years of age. No appointments necessary. Patients will be treated on a first-come, first-served basis. We will treat as many patients as possible, depending on capacity. Doors open 8:00am.

Sign-up to volunteer and help make a difference in someone's life! No clinical experience necessary.

We are seeking full-day and partial day volunteers:

• Dentists
• Hygienists
• Dental assistants
• Dental students
• Non-clinical volunteers who can help with:
• Setup and breakdown
• Check-in and registration
• Medical history and screening
• Waiting areas and patient flow
• Treatment
• Check-out
• Translators (Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin-speaking is a plus)

We hope you will join us this year in making Smiles For All a reality, and be part of the organization's legacy of providing high-quality, accessible dental care to our neighbors in need.

Depending on your shift, light breakfast, lunch, and dinner is provided. Volunteers can also request a certificate of participation.

Info: During registration, our team will guide volunteers through a brief orientation to ensure everyone is familiar with the event layout and responsibilities.

Info: Patients begin registration so that medical history screening to assess treatment.

Info: Patients can begin receiving treatment as early as 8:00AM.

Info: Depending on registration and treatment threshold, registration will close. At this time, half-day volunteers switch shifts. Lunch is served for all volunteers.

Info: Teardown of registration station begins taking place once patient registration ends.

Info: Teardown of medical history screening station begins once registered patients complete medical history screening.

Info: As remaining patients begin treatment, volunteers begin breaking down remaining stations (pre-treatment and check-out). Setup dinner for all day volunteers.

Info: Clinical volunteers breakdown treatment areas and close down rooms. Everyone left gathers for a celebratory dinner!
