SGV Cal Alumni Club Summer Welcome Party, South Pasadena (2025)

The Cal Alumni Association and the San Gabriel Valley Cal Alumni Club invite you to join us for the annual Summer Welcome Party on Saturday, July 12th.

Summer Welcome Parties are meant to give new University of California, Berkeley students a sense of the Cal community, the camaraderie amongst its students and alumni, and to put a human touch on the whole "going to college" process. We want to help put the students and parents at ease about what to expect but at the same time get them excited about what is ahead.

This year's event will include a meal. We will be providing meat and veggie hot dogs, vegetarian samosas and we also have a donation of BBQ ribs and brisket, pasta, chicken strips and beans.

You are welcome to share your contact information with the students and/or parents if you feel comfortable doing so. Thank you for your time and effort and we hope you enjoy the party!

Registration Open: 10:30 AM

Welcome Start: 11:00 AM

Self Introductions: 11:30

Meal/Networking: 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM

Location: Garfield Park Gazebos, 1000 Park Ave, South Pasadena, CA 91030

Parking: Free street parking

Cost: Free to current and incoming students (food and beverage will be served). All other participants are recommended to make a $8.88 donation to help defer the costs of the new students.
