AAPI Kids Hour

Let's celebrate Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month with Kids Hour hosted by Boba Bear Bilingual at The Baird in South Orange, NJ.

Ran Wei Baker is a Chinese American children's book author based in Maplewood, NJ, and the founder of Boba Bear Bilingual. She will be doing a bilingual English-Chinese reading of "123 NYC with Boba Bear," Chinese kids songs, and a fun craft.

Launched in 2022, Boba Bear Bilingual is her self-published board book series, created to fill the gap in bilingual literature for multicultural families. Inspired by her daughters Lily and Eloise, Ran aims to offer fun, relatable books that celebrate culture and language, helping children take pride in their heritage.

Local families, come join us in the Baird Library for some bilingual fun.
