Come join the coolest protest demonstration around! We install provocative messages in highly visible areas, during rush hour traffic and have fun while we do it.
Itinerary
(Note: the times below are subject to change based on traffic conditions, weather, etc..)
3:30 - 4:00 Install/setup signs, banners, flags
4:00 - 6:00 Dance Party! (seriously - we wave flags, shake pom poms, pool noodles - anything to make motorists look up at the our messages)
6:00 - 6:15 Take down signs and pack up
Weather
If it's raining, we still go. Fascism doesn't break for weather - neither do we! WE DON'T MELT
Hail, lightening, etc.. whole different story.
What to bring
1. Something to drink! It gets hot up on the bridge, plus we're dancing around. You'll need to stay hydrated
2. Pom poms, cow bell, pool noodles
3. Wear comfortable clothes you can dance and sweat in!
4. A smile and a helpful attitude
What not to bring
* Protest signs - unless the letters are 2 feet tall, the motorists aren't going to see them. Plus - the most important message we want displayed is the Bridge Message. Help us keep the message strong and not dilute it by allowing other signs to be displayed/held
Rules
* If MAGA folks approach us, record them
* If the police come, we're allowed to protest, we've checked
* Stay to the sides of the bridge to allow cyclists/runners/walkers through with ease
* Motorists engagement - keep it positive, even with the haters
* Be helpful and have fun!
