Mural It Up! With the Puente Hills Test Plot

Join us for a fun-filled day of creativity and community at the Puente Hills Test Plot! Let your artistic side shine as we come together to paint a beautiful mural designed in collaboration between the Puente Hills Youth at Work students and professional muralist, Arturo Gonzales, at 3301 Workman Mill Rd. No experience necessary, just bring your enthusiasm, clothes you can work / paint in, and be ready to make your mark on this special project. Don't miss out on this opportunity to connect with fellow art lovers, visit the native plant plots planted and cared for by the youth, play games, make friends, and leave your legacy on our community.

• Helping to paint a mural co-designed by the Youth at Work students and muralist, Arturo Gonzales
• Learning and sharing ideas about native plants, community-led restoration initiatives, and the site’s future as a gateway into the Puente Hills Regional Park.
• Caring for our five plot areas with Californian native and climate-adaptive species from the Puente Hills Regional Park design.
• Playing games and eating snacks!

• Where: Workman Mill Road Staging Area, 3301 Workman Mill Road, South El Monte, CA 91733
• What To Bring: clothes you don't mind getting paint on! Your own painting supplies is an optional bonus!
• Who: Everyone is welcome! Children are encouraged to join with supervision.
• Parking: Spaces will be available on the north and south sides of Workman Mill Road.
• Refreshments will be available courtesy of the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation.
