The Data Are Out There: Measuring and Making Sense of Our Local and Global Environment

Researchers from the University of Notre Dame and IUSB collaborate with colleagues from around the world to make sense of our past, present, and future environment. In this presentation, Professors Wade McGillis (UND) and Henry Scott (IUSB) will discuss their ongoing efforts, with examples ranging from global climate to local weather, air and water quality, while placing a special emphasis on making their work accessible to local communities.

Our Universe Revealed is a partnership between the University of Notre Dame, Indiana University South Bend and St. Joseph County Public Library. It allows local experts to explore topics in science and wider research with the public in an accessible way through talks and events. No technical background is needed – we believe that science and cutting edge research should be available to everyone!
