Come join SBRD as we learn from Jackie Daniels! She is a roller derby veteran with 20 years of experience, excelling both as a skater and a coach in this ever-evolving sport since nearly its inception. Jackie has dedicated herself to the sport both on and off the track. She's been a formidable double threat from the very beginning and has represented the USA Roller Derby team in both the 2014 and 2018 World Cups.
You may pick and choose your session ticket options to build a weekend you want. Come to one or come to the full weekend.
18+ years old to attend. MUST BE minimum skills passed. Open to ALL GENDERS.
SATURDAY 11/1
10a - 1p = Defense Clinic
2p - 5p = Offense Clinic
6p - Scrimmage (only available for clinic session participants. Put the new things you have learned into action. Sign up will happen on site)
SUNDAY
2:30p - 6:30p Strategy, Teamwork, and Jammer Relationships
Important Facts:
-Our practice space is NOT climate controlled just as a heads up. Please dress accordingly in layers and watch the local weather forecasts for your maximum comfort.
-The floor is painted concrete. Wheel preference varies WIDELY within our team but an average majority is running mid/upper 90s regularly. Floor adjusts a little based on ground temps.
-Bring black and whites for any/all sessions with name and numbers for easy identification to be addressed and to simplify any drills or examples easily. There may be some scrim set ups within a normal training session.
-You may bring food and drink into the practice space. The built in meal break times allow to eat a packed meal or travel to a close by place.
-There will not be a group hotel block set up for this event.
**NO REFUNDS- There will be a 20% restocking fee for any tickets purchased that you are unable to use In order to switch your ticket to another skater. You may not sell or trade your ticket on your own.**
