EOI: MJD Walk for a Cure 2025

We’re planning to shake things up in 2025! Instead of the month-long step challenge, we’re introducing a one-day event. To kick off the planning, we’re currently seeking expressions of interest.

Event Details
What: A one-day walk/run challenge along the High Country Rail Trail, covering 35 km from Tallangatta to Wodonga. We’re also considering a shorter, half-distance option to encourage wider participation.

Where: This will be an in-person event in North-East Victoria, on the border with NSW.

When: Our target date is Saturday, 20th September 2025.

Why: The aim is to raise funds for research into Machado-Joseph Disease (MJD). Over the past 8 years, we’ve raised over $60,000 for MJD research. I am grateful to everyone who has supported this cause from the days of the Ten Summits Challenge to the step challenge, and now, this new endeavor.
