Tuolumne County Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day

Tuolumne County residents—now is your chance to safely clean out those hazardous household items piling up in the garage, shed, or under the sink. The Annual Household Hazardous Waste & Paint Collection Event is happening Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cal Sierra Recycling Center in Sonora.

This free drop-off event is by appointment only and open to residents and qualifying businesses. To schedule your drop-off or check business eligibility, call 1 (800) 811-2435.
Accepted items include:
🧴 Cleaners
🎨 Paints
☠️ Pesticides
💧 Pool chemicals
🛢️ Contaminated motor oil & gasoline

For safety, please enter Camage Avenue from Nugget Boulevard—left turns into the event site will not be allowed.
