The Birth of the Warrior (Level II)* invites us to explore the true meaning of bravery, not as aggression or perfection, but as the courage to be fully present with our experience, moment by moment. Rooted in the teachings of warriorship, this weekend focuses on how we can gently interrupt habitual patterns that keep us stuck in self-doubt, isolation, or defense.
Through meditation, reflection, and community practice, we learn to lean into our discomfort with inquisitiveness, kindness, and confidence. In doing so, we begin to discover a deeper sense of trust in ourselves and the world around us.
Together, we’ll explore —
Sitting and walking meditation to strengthen awareness
Recognizing and working with fear as a doorway to wisdom
The teachings of warriorship, rooted in gentleness, not aggression
Group dialogue and personal reflection to deepen insight
Everyone is welcome
This program is for anyone who wants to engage with life more fully, whether you’re new to meditation or seeking a deeper path. The time to rediscover your heart and your strength is now.
This retreat is open to all. This is the 2nd Shambhala Weekend Retreat of the 5-weekend series (Levels I-V), which offers a view of the Shambhala vision of enlightened society by emphasizing how the sanity of meditation can penetrate our daily lives — and from there, how we can uplift our community and the world. There is no need to commit to the full series. However, if you are interested in continuing to the next programs in this 5-weekend series, the first weekend retreat, The Art of Being Human: Level I, is a prerequisite.
