Weโre excited to announce that Firefly will have event space at Somerville Open Studios (SOS) this year on May 3rd & 4th, at the SomerNova Dojo, 12PM-6PM. There will be Firefly art & music & snacks!
12-3 each day will be the Firefly Social hour. While 3-6 on either day will have specific more structured "events".
We will have art on display and a series of mini events to help meet different volunteer cores or camps that are at Firefly

This is a new event for all things theme camp related, broken into 3 parts:
3-4pm: Camp Leads Social! Anyone who helps run a theme camp can join this session to meet and get to know other leads from established and new camps!
4-5pm: Firefly Newbies Info Session! - New Fireflies can join for this hour to learn about how theme camps work, ask questions about how to start or run a camp, or the basics of how to join an existing camp. Experienced Fireflies are also welcome to come during this time to help answer questions and welcome new Fireflies to the community.
A representative from Placement Core will be there to answer your questions about placing new camps and art, and where to camp if this is your first Firefly.
5-6pm: Theme Camp Recruiting Power Hour! This is a venue to connect theme camps looking for new campmates and Fireflies interested in joining theme camps.
