Eat Your Heart Out
by Nick Hall
Charlie is a waiter and struggling actor working in various and very different restaurants within New York City. He tries to scrape together a living, sort out his love life, and reconcile his desires to “make it big” but also do something artistically satisfying. The other performers bring to life the various patrons Charlie encounters, including the girl desperately trying to eat snails and oysters to impress her fiance, the middle-aged lovers so intent on each other that they cannot even place their order, the rich and embittered astrologer, the timid man who never gets the waiter’s attention, and the agents, directors, actors, and other waiters who inhabit New York City. This show explores what it means to thrive in the modern world while looking for meaning in life and trying to have it all.
Show held at the Somers Knights of Columbus Banquet Hall at 236 Main Street, Somers, CT.
Performances begin at 8pm Fridays and Saturdays, and there is one 2pm matinee on the Sunday.
Please feel free to come early with your whole party, and bring food to enjoy before the show! While adult beverages cannot be brought onto the property, there is a cash bar open during performances for your enjoyment!
