National Night out is upon us! National Night Out (NNO) is a township-wide event designed to bring together law enforcement and the community—promoting awareness, safety, and neighborhood unity through fun, family-friendly activities! We will be shutting down the Franklin Twp. Municipal Complex (475 DeMott Lane, Somerset) on Tuesday, August 5th from 6pm-8:30pm for this amazing community event.
Come check out the FTPD vehicle fleet on full display, along with an exciting lineup of emergency service vehicles, high-tech drones, and impressive heavy equipment — all available for attendees to explore up close!
With Love Family Food Trucks, Tacos Los Gueros, and Hey Shaved Ice will be on-site offering delicious food and icy treats available for purchase throughout the event! Brown’s Brew will be pouring up refreshing iced coffee and non-caffeinated beverages free of charge all evening long! Donations are welcome and will go directly to support the Franklin Food Bank— so sip for a cause!
DJ Bishop of Sole Performance will be spinning all evening long—bringing the energy, vibes, and the perfect soundtrack for an unforgettable evening!
FTPD will also be offering guided building tours every half hour starting at 6:30 PM (with additional tours at 7:00, 7:30, and 8:00). Spots are limited, so be sure to stop by the Community Relations tent early to reserve your time slot!
FTPD Community Relations Bureau has teamed up with the crew at Eat Sleep Race to design an exclusive National Night Out 2025 shirt! Quantities are limited, so be sure to visit their tent early to grab your free shirt before they’re gone!
Parking is available in the lot next to the Gazebo, Sampson G. Smith School, & the BOE building (Amwell & Charles St). Handicap parking is located behind the gas pumps in the Municipal Complex.
We’re proud to recognize Bridgewater Nissan for sponsoring this event, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to CompoSecure, Amazon, Sole Performance and Eat Sleep Race for their generous contributions. Your support helps make this community celebration possible!
In the event of inclement weather, the event will not be rescheduled.
Let's make it a night to remember!!!
