Come as you are. Rest. Let your system recalibrate.
This weekly AcuDetox offering is guided by Tobey, whose work centers on mindfulness-based therapy, nervous system regulation, and creating spaces where the body can settle without force or analysis. Drawing from years of experience in therapeutic and community settings, Tobey approaches AcuDetox not as a treatment to “fix,” but as an invitation for the system to remember balance.
Using the NADA Protocol, this community clinic offers a simple, non-verbal way to support regulation, integration, and deep rest. Allowing participants to meet themselves exactly where they are.
AcuDetox is a standardized form of auricular (ear) acupuncture that has been used worldwide for decades in hospitals, disaster-response settings, addiction recovery programs, and community wellness clinics. It is valued for its simplicity, safety, and powerful effect on the nervous system.
The ear functions as a microsystem of the entire body. By stimulating five specific points on each ear, AcuDetox sends clear signals to the brain to downshift the stress response, regulate neurochemistry, and support the body’s natural detox and repair processes.
This is not a diagnostic or talk-based treatment. It is a quiet physiological intervention that allows the body to do what it already knows how to do, detox and heal itself.
The Five Points of AcuDetox
Sympathetic Point
This point acts as a regulatory switch for the nervous system, signaling the brain to soften the fight-or-flight response. As stress hormones quiet and the body receives the message of safety, many experience a palpable slowing. Many people experience a lower heart rate, the ability to breathe deeper and a softening of the nervous system. It is the doorway out of survival mode and into repair.
Shen Men (Spirit Gate)
Known as the Spirit Gate, this point is traditionally understood as a meeting place between mind, nervous system, and spirit. Neurobiologically, it helps quiet excess neural activity associated with anxiety and mental looping. Experientially, it invites the mind to soften its grip and the awareness to widen. Many describe a sense of inner opening here. A return to presence, coherence, and a quieter knowing that lives beneath thought.
Kidney Point
Associated with the body’s deep reserves, this point supports systems involved in stress resilience and recovery. It is linked to restoring depleted energy after prolonged strain. Symbolically, it speaks to releasing fear held in the body. Many feel this as a gentle re-grounding, a reminder that the system can replenish.
Liver Point
This point supports circulation, detoxification pathways, and the smooth movement of energy through the body. When stress or emotion becomes stored rather than processed, tension accumulates. Stimulation here helps restore flow (physically and internally) often experienced as a subtle release of pressure, irritability, or emotional congestion.
Lung Point
Closely tied to breath, rhythm, and regulation, this point supports oxygenation, immune function, and emotional processing. The breath offers parasympathetic support and can invite letting go of things that no longer serve us. Many associate this point with releasing grief, heaviness, or what is no longer needed, making space for ease and renewal.
Together, these five points create a systemic reset and help to support calm, clarity, and internal balance.
The Experience
This is a drop-in community clinic, no appointment required.
You’ll arrive at Sacha, receive five fine, sterile, single-use needles in each ear, and settle into a comfortable resting space. The environment is intentionally soft and relaxed. This is not a silent retreat, but a quiet, respectful space where you can rest, breathe, and allow the treatment to work.
We ask that you remain for at least 30 minutes, allowing the nervous system time to fully respond and the body to complete a full circulation cycle while the points are active. Many people report leaving with a sense of calm, clarity, and lightness. This is sometimes subtle, sometimes profound.
This offering is for you if you are:
Feeling overstimulated, tense, or emotionally overloaded
Supporting a detox, cleanse, or lifestyle reset
Integrating intense experiences or transitions
Seeking grounded, non-verbal nervous system support
Simply curious about deep rest and regulation
