FALCONS OF CLASS OF 85' - We are 2 months out today. The itinerary is set and is is time to RSVP to let us know you are coming. The biggest thing to share is that this reunion is FREE - ALL NO HOST, come as you are, pay for your own way. No cost to come, no sport jacket or dress to buy, just COME and join your classmates for a weekend of fun and reconnecting. We will announce to other classes to spread out the fun, so stand by for surprises!
There are lots of ways to connect during the weekend, so plug in one, some, or all of the following:
1. Friday 8/8 5:00 p.m. Happy Hour – FREE - Chiefs – 124 Lomas Santa Fe Dr. #108 This is where we started the 30th reunion and saw classmates here that didn’t make Saturday night. Well, back by popular demand, here we go! Dress Code – None, or if you want, wear a concert or band t-shirt and shorts or jeans – keep it casual! We will be on the front deck or inside near the stadium chairs.
2. Saturday 8/9 8:00 a.m. – Cars and Coffee in the RSF Village – FREE – In the middle of the Village in RSF - This is a world class vintage car weekly car meet already a regular spot for classmates still in town. Bring the whole family and see some great cars, classmates, and have some great coffee or breakfast at the Inn at RSF, Thyme, or several other cafes open in the village in the morning. Lots of us will be there so be on the lookout!
3. Saturday 8/9 10:30 – 2:30 - Beach Day with Aubyn and Pica – 19th St. Del Mar – FREE - Aubyn said she and Pica L. are a go for being there for classmates to come by and will bring snacks 😊
4. Saturday 8/9 4:00 p.m. – Pre-party get together – Pizza Port Solana Beach - 135 N Hwy 101– Site of the old Club Zu… FREE A chance to grab a pizza and a pint in prep for the “main event” down the street.
5. Saturday 8/9 5:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. + “Main Event” – T’s, 271 N Hwy 101, Solana Beach – FREE - The most “formal” part of the weekend. We are still ironing out a band to play, but the venue is secured, and this will be the Main Event of the weekend. DRESS CODE – None – Your existing Aloha shirts and/or resort wear will do!
6. Sunday 8/10 9:00 a.m. – Farewell breakfast – FREE - El Pueblo, 2673 Via De La Valle suite C, Del Mar (Near the Vignato Car Wash) A nice quiet spot that serves hair-of-the-dog for those who will need it, and to say goodbye to classmates who have to head out, or gear up to go to…
7. Sunday 8/10 11:30 a.m. – Campus Tour at Torrey Pines, 3710 Del Mar Heights Rd – FREE - Thanks to TPHS Principal Rob Coppo (86’) we get to come onto campus and see what’s happened to our beloved Alma Mater.
Your committee is proud to present the most DIY and casual reunion ever conceived with NO COST to get here and reminisce. No one cares what you've been up to for the last 40 years, we just want to SEE YOU and revel in or shared experience that was Torrey Pines Class of 1985.
