Каним ви на тур в изложбата „Букурещка трилогия“ с автора Антон Роланд Лауб и куратора Соня Вос. По време на събитието те ще разкажат подробно за всяка от трите серии, включени в изложбата, историческия контекст и съвместната си работа.
Tрилогията на Лауб е представена за първи път в изложбен формат в галерия Синтезис. Тя включва три негови проекта: „Подвижни църкви“ разказва за преместването на седем църкви като част от плана за „систематизация“ на Чаушеску; „Последната Коледа (на Чаушеску)“ проследява последните дни на диктатора; „Минериада“ разглежда събитията от юни 1990 г., когато хиляди миньори са докарани в Букурещ, за да участват в бруталното потушаване на проевропейски протести.
📎 За автора:
Антон Роланд Лауб е визуален артист и фотограф, роден в Букурещ, който живее и работи в Берлин. Негови самостоятелни изложбата са показвани в Bucharest Municipality Museum, църквата „Сен Жермен де Пре“, Париж; Kaunas Photography Gallery; Гьоте-институт, Букурещ и Румънски културен институт, Берлин. Участвал е и в престижни фотографски фестивали, като Rencontres d’Arles, Format, Дерби; Европейски Месец на фотографията, Берлин; PhotoSaintGermain, Париж и Photo Is:rael, Тел Авив. Негови фотографии се съхраняват в десетки публични и частни колекции, между които Book and Media Art Collection of Staatliche Museen zu Berlin, Rencontres d’Arles и Berlin Wall Foundation.
📎 За куратора:
Соня Вос живее между Париж и Берлин. Сред нейните кураторски проекти е изложбата на Sophie Calle в Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature, Париж (2017–2018 г.). Тя проявява специален интерес към източногерманската фотография. През 2019 г. представя изложбата „Restless Bodies. East German Photography 1980–1989“ в рамките на фестивала Rencontres d’Arles. По-късно разширява изследванията си и към фотографията от 70-те и 80-те години в източноевропейскте страни, по-конкретно Румъния и Литва.
🔹 Събитието е част от съпътсващата програма на изложбата „Букурещка трилогия“ (4 декември 2025 г. – 14 февруари 2026 г). Те е продуцирана от Галерия Синтезис с подкрепата на Гьоте-институт България, Посолството на Франция в България, Френския институт в България и ФотоСинтезис и в партньорство с Посолството на Румъния в България, Kehrer Verlag (Хайделберг) и Scânteia (Букурещ). Медиен партньор на изложбата е списание ВИЖ!.
🌱 Галерия Синтезис е създадена през 2013 г. като част от ФотоСинтезис – място за фотография, което обединява най-големия магазин за фото и видео техника, принт център за фотографски печат, библиотека за фотокниги, кафене и пространство за събития.

Guided Tour of the exhibition by the artist and the curator

We invite you to join a guided tour of the exhibition “A Bucharest Trilogy” by the artist, Anton Roland Laub, and the curator, Sonia Voss. During the event, they will offer an in-depth discussion of the three series presented in the exhibition, the historical context behind them, and their collaborative work process.
Laub’s trilogy is presented in an exhibition format for the first time at Synthesis Gallery. It consists of the series “Mobile Churches,” which traces the displacement of seven churches under Ceaușescu’s “systematization” program; “Last Christmas (of Ceaușescu),” which follows the dictator’s final days; and “Mineriada,” which examines the events of June 1990, when thousands of miners were brought to Bucharest to take part in the brutal suppression of pro-European demonstrations.
📎 About the artist:
Anton Roland Laub is a Bucharest-born visual artist who lives and works in Berlin. Laub has had solo exhibitions, among others, at the Bucharest Municipality Museum; Église Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Paris; Kaunas Photography Gallery; Goethe-Institut, Bucharest; Romanian Cultural Institute, Berlin. He has been presented at the Rencontres d’Arles festival; Format Photography Biennale, Derby; European Month of Photography, Berlin; PhotoSaintGermain, Paris; Photo Is:rael, Tel Aviv. His works have been reviewed and featured in the international press and are held in public as well as in private collections, such as the Book and Media Art Collection of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin; the collection of Rencontres d’Arles; Berlin Wall Foundation.
📎 About the curator:
Sonia Voss is an exhibition curator based in Paris and Berlin. She curated, among others, an exhibition of Sophie Calle at the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature in Paris (2017–18). Over the years, she has focused on East German photography. In this framework, she has presented “Restless Bodies. East German Photography 1980–89” at the Rencontres d’Arles (2019) and edited several publications related to this scene. Since then, she has extended her research to other Eastern European territories, particularly Romania and Lithuania, in the 1970s and 1980s.
🔹 The exhibition is produced by Synthesis Gallery with the support of Goethe-Institut in Bulgaria, the Embassy of France in Bulgaria, the French Institute in Bulgaria and PhotoSynthesis and in partnership with the Embassy of Romania in Bulgaria, Odeon Cinema, Kehrer Verlag (Heidelberg), and Scânteia (Bucharest). The media partner of the exhibition is ВИЖ! Magazine.
🌱 Synthesis Gallery was founded in 2013 as a part of PhotoSynthesis – a photography hub, which houses the leading store for photo and video equipment, a print center, photobook library, café and event space.
