Movie Night With The Quarantine

How we work together, how we party together, now how do we enjoy things together – like watching a special curated selection of animation movies by the international short film festival „The Quarantine”. Not on the beach though. (sorry)

The festival is organized on a completely voluntary basis and takes place on the last standing fishing village in Varna, Bulgaria. The village is in danger of disappearing because a luxury residential complex is under construction on the coastline behind it.

By provoking cultural exchange between contemporary artists worldwide and locals, they intend to turn the fishing village into a culture and art zone and to preserve the fishermen’s way of life. Let’s give them a supportive hug by enjoying their selection here in Sofia.

Как работим заедно, как купонясваме заедно – а сега, какво ще кажете просто да се насладим на нещо заедно? Например на специално курирана селекция от анимационни филми, избрани от международния фестивал за късометражно кино „The Quarantine“. Само че… не на плажа. (съжаляваме)

Фестивалът се организира изцяло на доброволен принцип и се провежда в последното останало рибарско селище във Варна. Селището е застрашено от изчезване заради строежа на луксозен жилищен комплекс по крайбрежието зад него.

Чрез провокиране на културен обмен между съвременни артисти от цял свят и местната общност, „The Quarantine“ има за цел да превърне селцето в зона за култура и изкуство и да запази начина на живот на рибарите. Нека им изпратим една подкрепяща прегръдка – като се потопим в тяхната селекция тук, в София.
