Make plans to participate in or just enjoy your Southern Kiowa Chamber 16th Annual Christmas Parade and Giveaways held on Sunday, Dec. 7th. Parade entries head to Snyder Farmers Coop at 1:30pm to register. Parade will begin at 2:30pm. Leading the parade will be local veterans along with a color guard team. Our County Commissioner Gary Jennings will be honored as our 2025 Grand Marshal. The parade route with begin at the Coop head south on E Street (Main), then turn right at the First Baptist Church, and make our way to the nursing home. Parade participants will include floats, vehicle and kid entries. We encourage organizations, clubs, and individuals to help make this event a joy to watch. First, second, and third place winners in each category will receive cash prizes and will be announced at the indoor tennis court following the parade. Santa and Mrs. Claus with be available for photos. Free treat sacks furnished by City of Snyder and hot cocoa served by PPATA volunteers will also be provided. Each child 10 and under will walk away with a free Christmas gift purchased by the members of Southern Kiowa Chamber, St. Luke's Masonic Lodge, Pride of Snyder, Snyder Methodist Church, Snyder Volunteer Fire Dept., and donations from community supporters.
