About this Event

It’s our favorite time of year! This is our 14th Annual Navajo County Attorney’s Office Victims’ Rights Symposium. This year our focus is "Every Child Matters," in honor of Child Abuse Awareness Month. Symposium is a full-day local training for local partner agencies who work with victims of crime and the community about topics that impact victims of crime.

This event will be held in person. We have a keynote presenter in the morning, followed by 4 breakout workshops that will be about an hour and 15 minutes long. The breakout workshops are repeated in the morning and in the afternoon.

Booths from our presenters and victim service partners will be set up for attendees to visit during breaks.

Keynote Speaker: Kara Robinson Chamberlain

Abducted at gunpoint and held captive at just 15 years old, Kara Robinson Chamberlain’s daring escape and collaboration with law enforcement led to the identification and capture of a serial killer. Leveraging her extensive experience as a survivor, former law enforcement officer, advocate, and media professional, Kara provides practical applications for empowering victims and fostering resilience.
