"The Artist in You" 4-H Club-2025

Join us for a seven session 4-H Activity Club which will be taught by professional artists of Worcester County, Maryland. All supplies will be provided. This is a club for mature youth who have a love of art and creating unique pieces to treasure. Youth must be 8 years old as of January 1, 2025. Enrollment in Maryland 4-H is required to participate in this wonderful program. Space is limited.

A bout the Artists!

Shane and Diana Kio are local artists and teachers who has worked with children for over 30 years. Shane taught in the public school system for 25 years before retiring to open his own pottery studio, Wockypots, in Pocomoke, Md, where he and Diana create unique pieces of pottery. They offer a variety of art instruction classes for both adults and children.

Alexis Southward is an artist and photographer based in Snow Hill. With a passion for capturing everyday beauty through creative lenses, Alexis brings a welcoming, hands-on approach to teaching. Her class introduces the basics of photography using any type of camera and guides students in preparing their work for display at the Worcester County Fair

Debbi Dean is an abstract, mixed media, and pyrography artist, residing locally on the Eastern Shore. She exhibitis in numerous galleries throughout Maryland, Delaware, Pittsburgh, and the Florida regions. She has taught art therapy and currently teaches part-time at summits and events about the importance of healing through art.

Carlena Jelley is a local Artist and Studio Owner of Cypress Moon Art Visual and Performing Arts Studio in Pocomoke City, Maryland. She began her journey as a "wee cypress knee" in South Louisiana & Southeast Texas as a 6 year old budding artist, a Talented Arts student giving lessons on the side during her early teen years, to a public school teach and now Eastern Shore Arts Studio Owner.Her lifelong goal is to "Ignite and inspire a love of the arts in chaildren and adults alike."
