A casual get together of homeschooling friends ages 8-18(ish) with a focus on building up the mind through game play and friendship.
Bring games of any kind- board games, art games, puzzles, word games, clapping games, card games, or make up a new one! Share info you’ve discovered. Tell stories and jokes. Draw optical illusions. Talk and ask and laugh.
Please— no phones.
This gathering is not structured (tho parents typically stick around and enjoy each others company as well!) and is intended to use the concept of Voluntaryism* provide an environment wherein young people can regulate amongst themselves and discover through their own community when and how to take the lead, and when and how to go along and let someone else lead. Please encourage your young person to advocate for themselves kindly and confidently >>AND<< to kindly and confidently make space for other people’s ideas and ways of doing things.

*Voluntaryism is a political philosophy about the formation of society that is based on voluntary means and mutual agreement, rather than force or threat. It emphasizes natural rights, individual liberty and non-aggression, and rejects coercion by illegitimate or unwarranted authority. Simply put, everything done is with the consent of anyone involved.
