About the event

Monarch Butterfly Tagging
Where do monarch butterflies go in the winter? How can we learn where their important habitats are? Through tagging of course! Tagging is the process of attaching a small sticker with a unique identification number to the butterfly. Citizen scientists can then report any tagged butterflies they find which helps conservationists learn more about the habitat they use and need. Join naturalist Terry Willis to learn more about monarch butterflies and help tag monarchs that were raised in captivity as well as wild monarchs in our pollinator meadow. Participants should wear long sleeves and long pants. Open to all ages, no registration required.
