MABFC Presents: The Delaware Farm Crawl

Come join the Mid-Atlantic Black Farmers Caucus for a two-day immersive experience through Delaware’s vibrant Black farming community!

Brought to you by our Delaware Hub, the Delaware Farm Crawl is your chance to tour a network of Black-led urban farms, enjoy fresh produce and value-added goods, meet farm animals, support local farm projects, learn new skills, and build community. Whether you’re a farmer, food lover, or neighbor—this event invites you to explore, connect, and contribute.

As a cooperative, this Farm Crawl helps us advance our vision of self-sufficiency and a strengthened regional food system. Here’s how:

Build Member Capacity - We provide opportunities for returning-generation farmers to experience diverse urban farm models across Delaware—and engage in hands-on, community-led building projects and skill sharing.

Strengthen Cooperative Ties - We deepen relationships between MABFC members and Delaware-based farms through learning, collaboration, and solidarity.

Uplift Visibility - We highlight the stories and impact of Black farmers in Delaware by welcoming the public to tour, purchase, and engage directly with local farms.

Increase Economic Opportunities - We expand direct-to-consumer and wholesale pathways by connecting farmers with chefs, food producers, and community members committed to supporting Black agriculture.

Day 1 – Farm Tours & Local Business Showcase🗓️ 9am | ⏰ 4pmParticipating farms will open their gates for guided tours every 30 minutes. Come meet the growers, explore the land, and shop fresh, local, and handmade goods.🚍 Special MABFC Bus Tour available for member farmers (registration required, see bus tour agenda below).

Day 2 – Volunteer Day & Learning Exchange🗓️ 8:30am | ⏰ 5pmRoll up your sleeves! Choose a farm project—from planting and harvesting to construction and design. Share your skills or learn something new in this day of mutual aid and on-the-ground connection.

• 🎟️ General Admission (Self-Guided): FreeIncludes access to all farms, tours, and volunteer activities. Transportation and lodging not included. This is a free community event, but donations are welcome to support the participating farms.
• 🚌 MABFC Member Bus Ticket: $25Includes roundtrip bus transportation and overnight lodging. Must be a current MABFC member.
• 🚌 Non-Member Bus Ticket: $50Includes roundtrip bus transportation. Hotel accommodations not included; participants are responsible for booking their own lodging.
