The official Mile Marker 0 of the Silver Comet Trail is located at the Mavell Road Trailhead in Smyrna, Georgia.
Directions:
Take I-285 to Exit 15 (South Cobb Drive).
Head away from the Perimeter on South Cobb Drive (Hwy 280).
Turn left onto Cooper Lake Road after about 1.8 miles.
Turn left onto Mavell Road (about 0.6 miles from South Cobb Dr).
The trailhead is at the end of Mavell Road and includes parking, restrooms, water, and picnic tables.
