Marc is a dedicated educator and passionate dance instructor with a diverse teaching portfolio at Martha Ellen Stilwell School of the Arts. He teaches Human Geography, Political Science, History, Psychology, and Sociology. Recognized for his excellence in education, Marc was honored as the 2023/2024 Teacher of the Year for Martha Ellen Stilwell School of the Arts and the Magnet School Teacher of the Year for Clayton County Public Schools.
With over 12 years of experience in teaching and performing, Marc specializes in Salsa, Cha Cha, Son, Afro Cuban Dance, Rumba, and Flamenco. His extensive training includes performing with the renowned Proyecto Barrio Dance Company and working closely with esteemed artists such as Michelito Herrera, Kati Hernandez, and Ana Lorente in Afro Cuban Dance, Rumba, and Son.
Marc's deep connection to the cultural and historical roots of dance fuels his dedication to sharing the rich heritage of Afro Cuban rhythms and movements. His workshop, "Exploring the Black Roots of Salsa," is a culmination of his passion and expertise, offering participants a profound and engaging exploration of the vibrant influences that shape this dynamic dance form.
