Join us to assist with hands-on environmental data collection on the diversity of aquatic life in the Woonasquatucket River. Learn the fish collection technique of electrofishing to help us catch, identify, measure, and lastly release fish to provide an up-to-date survey for RIDEM. Get to know the river and pick up some fish identification tips from our resident expert.
Urban rivers are critical wildlife corridors worth restoring and protecting.
We provide all equipment and training!
You provide your fish savy and enthusiasm!
Pre-registration is encouraged! This event is family-friendly, waders and boots provided, BYO water boots if you have them. Be prepared to get wet and/or muddy.
