Join us for a morning of fun with "Brunch on the Farm", an event offering a unique opportunity for the community to experience a real working farm. This engaging and educational event will take place on Saturday, July 19, from 9 AM to 1 PM at Harmon-Kithcart Farms, located at 12847 ST RT 151, Dillonvale, OH 43917.
Attendees will enjoy a variety of farm tours and live demonstrations, including:
- Drone Flights in Action: See how drones are used for targeted control pests, weeds and disease in the field
- The Living Earth Rainfall Simulator: Watch soils in action! Learn how healthy soils support life underground, contribute to water management, and build the foundation for farms!
- Conservation to Cultivation Demonstrations: Discover how automation, such as self-driving tractors, is used to plant and manage wheat
- Food for the Plants: Learn from local farmers and experts about growing crops in eastern Ohio and how conservation efforts are integrated into farming
In addition to tours, families can look forward to fun activities such as a haybale fort, corn pit, and a kids zone designed for younger visitors. A petting zoo featuring young farm animals will also be available for youth to interact with.
Vendors will be available with crafts, produce, and information about small farm and homestead practices.
A fundraiser breakfast will be provided by Purple Circle 4-H club, and there will be a food truck on site offering lunch options. Also look for the coffee bar!
