Sligo Jazz Project is turning 20 in 2025, and the celebrations start with a bang! On May 4th at 8pm, the Yeats Building will come alive with world-class jazz as the Kevin Brady Quartet, featuring Bill Carrothers (USA) and Seamus Blake (USA), takes the stage. This special gig, supported by Sligo BID as part of the Night Time Economy Pilot, promises an unforgettable night of cutting-edge jazz.
The quartet—led by Irish drumming powerhouse Kevin Brady—brings together award-winning saxophonist Seamus Blake, critically acclaimed pianist Bill Carrothers, and renowned Irish bassist Dave Redmond. Each a giant in contemporary jazz, their chemistry is electric, blending original compositions with thrilling improvisation.
Since forming in 2007, the group has wowed audiences from New York to London, earning rave reviews and accolades, including a DownBeat Magazine "Jazz Album of the Year" nod for Brady's 2022 release, Plan B.
