Meet Our Plein Air Artists! Third Thursday Art Party, works from "Artists Paint Skowhegan,"

On August 8, local artists took to the streets, riverbanks, and hidden corners of Skowhegan for Artists Paint Skowhegan, a plein-air event hosted by Main Street Skowhegan and River Roads Artisans Gallery. Throughout the day, painters captured the beauty and character of our town, each selecting their own unique vantage point.

The completed works are now on display at River Roads Artisans Gallery for the month of August, accompanied by a silent auction and a community “People’s Choice” vote. The celebration will culminate at the Third Thursday Art Party on August 21 (4–6 p.m.), when the winning artist will be announced, and enjoy a $100 gift certificate to River Roads, and receive two tickets to the Main Street Skowhegan Gala on September 27 — where their artwork will be auctioned to benefit Main Street Skowhegan.
