About the event

BBE & EnsAmble Ad-Hoc at Seman Violins
In collaboration with EnsAmble Ad-Hoc directors Francy Acosta and José Luis Posada, the BBE is thrilled to present A Spanish Summer, featuring music of Colombia and Venezuela. Using romances, ballads, dance tunes, working songs, milking songs, counting songs from the bambuco, pasillo, cumbia, and porro genres, this program is inspired by and depicts a day in the life of a Colombian. Alongside BBE directors Brandi Berry Benson (violin) and Leighann Daihl Ragusa (flute), EnsAmble Ad-Hoc directors Francy (voice/percussion) and José Luis (guitar/tiple/voice) will be joined by members of EnsAmble Ad-Hoc Daniel Rojas (harp/bass/tiple/voice), and Raul Fernandez (voice).
