Join us for a beautiful 6.5 mile social walk from Grassington to Burnsall with a minimum of 3 stops for a dip in the water along the way.
⚠️It’s going to be a warm day so feel free to bring a towel and/or swimming gear in case you want to cool off with a swim or paddle. PLEASE ALSO BE SURE TO BRING PLENTY OF WATER AND SUNCREAM.
The first section towards Burnsall takes us over the hills and along country lanes with a light ascent of about 200ft. After a break by the river in Burnsall, we will return along the river back to Grassington with plenty more opportunities for a dip or a paddle in the river.

IMPORTANT. PLEASE READ:
Please note that we are just a group of friends that enjoy walking for leisure. You’re welcome to join us on these walks but please be aware that:
- THIS IS JUST A PEER TO PEER WALK
- WE ARE NOT PROFESSIONAL GUIDES
- WE ARE NOT FIRST AID TRAINED.
- YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY.
Walk etiquette
These are just some simple guidelines to make the walk as pleasurable as possible for everyone:
Please remember this is a ‘social’ walk and not a race.If you like to rush, this is not for you.
Please do not walk ahead of the walk leader especially when they are waiting for people to catch up, as this puts unnecessary pressure on those who struggle. If you choose to walk ahead and get lost, we will not come looking for you.
Please keep the group in sight at all times so that you don’t fall behind and get lost. If you are struggling to keep up please let someone know.
We always have a great bunch of friendly people walking with us so it's the perfect opportunity to socialise and make new friends whilst walking in beautiful surroundings.
We look forward to meeting you and hope that you will become part of our amazing network of walking friends.
