A superb day was had last year so here we are again, something for warmer weather. Today is very much a social day where artists ( or gardeners) find inspiration in these beautiful gardens.
Saturday 14th June 2025
11.00 am Arrival with Tea or Coffee & biscuits, welcome by Mike & Gel Heagney owners of Tudor Croft who will give us a short Informative talk
We'll split into two groups (timings are approximate
11.30 am -13.00pm
Group A) Those booked will go on a guided tour of the gardens with Mike & Gel.... take photos as you go for painting later. Walk ahead or linger and take in Mike & Gel's expert advice, the choice is yours.
Group b) Everyone else simply enjoy the magical gardens, eat, sketch & paint at leisure
13.30pm Group a) Will be served tea & cakes
Tables are available all day and there's also lovely spots to paint scattered around the gardens. There's plenty of contingencies for rain too!
Feel free to bring your own lunch although, subject to availability, hot & cold drinks are available to purchase.
Plants will be available for sale during the tour of the gardens and again between 2pm and 3pm, and will be brought up to the entrance for you to collect
Your purchases will be taken to the entrance to collect on leaving.
Parking will be on the playing field of Galley Hill Primary School. It is just up the road from Tudor Croft, a four minute walk, and will be signposted but for anyone with mobility issues, there is parking for 2-3 cars at the entrance ( first come basis) Parking on the road is possible but do be mindful of buses needing to use the road and please don't park on the bend.
Mike does hold busy public open days but this day gives us the opportunity of a more personalised day with plenty of space to do our own thing.
