Get ready for another unforgettable, FREE family day out as A Whale of a Day returns on Friday 25th July from 10:30am to 4:00pm! This exciting event promises a day packed with fun, education, and crucial environmental awareness for children and young people.
Following last year's success, Circo Rum Baba's incredible 50-foot inflatable sperm whale is making its way to the National Trust. Step inside this magnificent creature for an immersive and interactive theatre experience that will transport you to the depths of the ocean! Each session is 30 minutes long.
While the event is free for everyone in the community to enjoy, capacity inside the whale is limited for each timeslot. Please ensure you book your spot by visiting
https://awhaleofaday.eventbrite.co.uk to avoid disappointment!
Through captivating storytelling, the performance inside the whale will highlight the challenges faced by sea creatures and their ongoing struggle for survival against ocean pollution. It's a powerful and engaging way to learn about the critical importance of ocean conservation.
Beyond the majestic whale, A Whale of a Day offers something for all ages. You'll find a variety of activities, a delicious food stall, and interactive stalls from fantastic local and national organisations dedicated to nature and the environment. Partners like the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust and the passionate volunteers of Sutton on Sea Beach Care will be on hand, providing valuable information and exciting, hands-on activities.
We're delighted to be working in partnership with the National Trust for this year's A Whale of a Day. The event will be held at their new site at Sandilands.
This event is part of the Partnership's Story Tellers NPO project through funding from Arts Council England, which looks to support arts, culture, heritage and creativity across the whole of South and East Lincolnshire, providing meaningful opportunity and programming for residents, developing the sector and helping to build the local arts, culture and heritage offer.
