Date: May 27th

Time: 4- 6:30 p.m.

We are excited to welcome 2025 PMRCAA resdient writer Liza Birnbaum. When we write about nature, there’s always an observing “I” embedded in what we describe—and when we write about our personal experience, there’s always some context beyond our human surroundings. Participants will examine their own connections wit the natural world, and walk away fom this workshop with a new writing and inspiration moving forward.

Workshop Highlights:

Personal and Nature Collaboration: Participants of this workshop will be invited to write prose that brings the relationship between the self and the natural world into sharp focus.

Learning from Example: Attendees will look at examples by Annie Dillard, Robin Wall Kimmerer, and others, focusing on the craft choices they use to paint dual portraits of themselves and their surroundings.
