About this Event

Join us for this two-day advanced Natural Dye Workshop, a part of our 2025 Natural Dye Workshop Series with fibers artist Madelaine Corbin.

Dates: August 23rd & 24th, 2025

Time: 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Location: Pine Meadow Ranch Center for Arts & Agriculture

This two-day workshop focuses on naturally dyeing protein-based yarn and using them to create woven cloth. The weavings from this workshop will be functional items that may be used in a variety of ways, including as features on the following apron making workshop. Participants will leave with a woven textile project they have the knowledge to complete at home and a natural dye journal of swatches documenting the interaction between fiber type, dye type, and dye interactions.

Workshop Highlights:

  • Woven Wonders: Participants of this workshop will get to work with dye plants grown at Pine Meadow Ranch and learn weaving techniques. Using a frame loom, they will create complex structures with the yarn they dye.

All materials will be provided.

No natural dye experience required.

For ages 16 and older. Those under age 16 may attend accompanied by an adult.
