We are proud to present the first-ever Sioux Falls Tournament of Blades!
Hosted by DMA of Sioux Falls, this groundbreaking event is open to all martial artists who train with edged weapons—regardless of style, system, or background. Whether you practice Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA), Olympic fencing, Kendo, Kenjutsu, or any other bladed weapon discipline, this tournament is for you.
Our goal is to build a regional gathering where diverse martial traditions come together in the spirit of skill, respect, and friendly competition. The Sioux Falls Tournament of Blades will feature divisions for longsword, épée, katana, and other edged weapons, including both sparring and form/kata categories. This is an open event, and we welcome practitioners from all systems and experience levels.
To ensure smooth organization, pre-registration is required, and we will be using a digital registration and bracketing system to manage the event efficiently. This will be a one-day tournament, with multiple rings running throughout the day.
This marks the beginning of what we hope becomes a long-standing tradition in the regional martial arts community. If you have any questions about the event, please contact Joe Herreman, Head Instructor at DMA of Sioux Falls.
We look forward to crossing blades with you!
