Promenade Poetik - Molenbeek Cemetery

Brussels, would you like to discover surprising poetic places? During “Promenade Poetik”, Willemsfonds and SpeakEasy will take you on a tour of the historic cemetery in Molenbeek: come and enjoy beautiful words, poetry, dance and art in a piece of urban nature.

Let the poems and songs guide you past the monuments, history and greenery. This time, the artists are delving into history to engage in dialogue with the people of Brussels of yesteryear at the cemetery.

How does it work?

Meet us at the cemetery entrance, where you will receive a map – or simply follow the words and music to find all the artists. There are five poetic stops throughout the cemetery. Our last stop is an installation of poetry pieces created by the participants of our Freedom & Fantasy Writing Workshop on 28 August.

Prepare yourself for an artistic mix of wordplay, visual inspiration and rhyming musings during this Promenade Poetik!
