Hailing from Bologna, Le Birrette nearly stands as a big band, with 3 singers switching leads, a horn section enriched with some sweet flute, a strong rhythm section and a wicked soloist on keys... 10 musicians altogether, taking us down their hoppy spin on Jamaican music.
After a few singles on Italian label Aloe Vera, they recently self-released their second LP, "Wanted". Putting a lot of effort in producing it fully analog to stay in touch with the feel of 1960's Jamaican music.
Bringing beautiful originals as well as crafty mash-ups of jazz standards and soul classics with reggae riddims since 2014, they have stood on stages all across Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Belgium and even Jamaica ! Sharing the bill with some of the most important names in ska & reggae such as The Skatalites, Susan Cadogan, Roy Ellis aka Mr Symarip, Queen Omega, The Selecter and many more

SUPER SKA
Active since 2012, Super Ska is a Belgian collective of musicians travelling through ska, reggae and rocksteady with a serious jazz touch. Playing only original compositions, they bring you refined ska-jazz with delightful female lead vocals and sweet harmonies, as well as bass-heavy dubby riddims with a highly skilled horn section.
They have been re-inventing themselves through the years… Incorporating French Chanson or more modern influences at times, giving a shot at kid’s entertainment… You name it, they’ve done it !
Yet again, here they come, strengthened by some line-up changes, ready to release a very mature fourth studio album which you will discover live !
Their humble DIY ethics might have kept them under the radar at times… But believe you me, their sound is big !!!

French selectress Héléa Louison has been part of international DJ-collective Blue Beat & Ska and is a regular at gatherings of vintage Jamaican music lovers in the UK or in Spain. When spinnig records, she's skilfully switching from 1960's Jamaican hits to US soul and rhythm'n'blues tunes !
