The County of Simcoe, in collaboration with local partners, is proud to host its annual Week of Welcome from September 15 to 19, 2025.
This regional celebration highlights the vibrant cultural mosaic of Simcoe County and extends a heartfelt invitation to newcomers as they begin their journey in our community.
The third annual Week of Welcome will take place September 15-19, with events including:

Tuesday, September 16:
RentSmart Session for Newcomers, Barrie Public Library (Angus Boardroom), 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Wednesday, September 17:
Regional Social Service Fair, Southshore Community Centre, Barrie, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Wednesday, September 17:
Regional Job Fair, Southshore Community Centre, Barrie, 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Thursday, September 18:
