SEPTEMBER 12: COLONY FUNK
Colony Funk is a high-powered funk, soul, and blues revival band based in Fort Collins, Colorado. Since forming in 2015, they’ve earned a devoted following with their genre-blending grooves, magnetic stage presence, and ability to ignite any dance floor. Their sound draws from every corner of the musical spectrum, creating an infectious mix that’s both nostalgic and refreshingly original.
At the heart of the band is frontwoman Amanda Höfer, a powerhouse vocalist whose raw, soulful delivery has drawn comparisons to Etta James and Janis Joplin. She’s backed by a tight, seasoned rhythm section featuring Marc Teets on drums, Joe Prinzivalli on bass, Brian Adams on guitar, and Brian Keller on saxophone and keys. Together, they bring an undeniable chemistry to the stage — a mix of deep-pocket funk, gospel fire, and rock ‘n’ soul swagger.
Colony Funk has shared the stage with nationally known acts like St. Paul and the Broken Bones and Diggin’ Dirt, and continues to be a festival and venue favorite across Colorado. With one-of-a-kind originals and reimagined covers, they deliver a live show that’s built to move your soul and shake the room.
